About the Application

Using user experience (UX) research and low-fidelity mockups, we addressed critical labor challenges in providing caregiver assistance for vulnerable populations. The Discovery Engine solution automates caregiver selection and administrative tasks, allowing healthcare providers to customize preferences and pricing while managing clientele without relying on middle management. This approach ensures affordability, safety, and peace of mind by connecting clients with background-checked professionals.

Through in-depth research and an iterative design process, we segmented the application into five distinct user personas: Caregiver Background & Approvals, Client Services & Safety, Client, Client Family, and Universal Administrator. By incorporating rapid prototyping, we addressed social dynamics and privacy concerns, ensuring a seamless user experience from launch.

Our design process was iterative, with multiple design versions and consistent stakeholder feedback. This enabled us to refine usability, ultimately enhancing the user experience. Low-fidelity mockups and customer journey maps were essential tools for clarifying features, aligning team efforts, and guiding the efficient development of the solution.

The application functions as an intelligent search engine for scheduling caregivers, utilizing various sorting criteria to ensure the right fit. Administrative dashboards maintain content relevance and safety, with features like location tracking, safety protocols, and intelligent detection mechanisms designed to prioritize the well-being of both caregivers and clients.
